Treat in the late 1800s, <em>\u00a0Mother, Home and Heaven,\u00a0<\/em>listen to what Samuel D. Burchard D.D. said about the Christian home:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cIt is where the heart is, where the loved ones are &#8212; husband, wife,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0father, mother, brothers, sisters, [are] all united\u00a0 in sympathy, fellow-<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0ship and worship.\u00a0 It may be humble, unpretentious, exhibiting no sign\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0of material wealth; but there is a wealth of mutual affection, which fire\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0cannot consume, and no commercial disaster eliminate or destroy, and<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0this is home \u2013 the home of childhood, the elysian [ideal bliss\/happiness]<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0of ripe years, the refuge of age.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Sounds pretty good, doesn\u2019t it?\u00a0 Those growing up in such an environment are bound to grow up with security and strength of character.\u00a0 But, unfortunately,\u00a0many homes are chaotic and many children are victims of neglect and family dissent.\u00a0 Though many of these children can and do rise to places of eminence and prominence, it is a much harder \u201cclimb.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But home is \u201chome\u201d no matter what \u2013 but don\u2019t hold on too tight.\u00a0 Our hearts go\u00a0out to the folks in California and North Carolina who have lost their homes and everything in them. Some by a hurricane and flood and others by raging fire. Many have lost loved ones or pets, all gone in one moment.\u00a0 May our God bring comfort and hope to those in sorrow, and may He restore fortune and beauty to those charred lands.<\/p>\n<p>We live in a dangerous world \u2013 danger with many faces.\u00a0 We are at risk and our homes are at risk.\u00a0 The tribulation Jesus spoke of is here.\u00a0 It has always been here. But He has overcome the world and we need not be afraid.\u00a0 If you are a Christian your future is <em>golden!\u00a0 <\/em>Jesus is coming again to bring his family home. Yes, Home!<\/p>\n<p>An <em>everlasting<\/em> home; no death, no tears, none of the ravages of sin.\u00a0 The coolest place we\u2019ll ever be!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u201cIn my Father\u2019s house there are many dwelling places (homes).\u00a0 <strong>If it<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/em>were<strong><em> not so, I would have told you,<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0 for I am going away to prepare\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0a place for you.\u00a0 And when (if) I go and make ready a place for you,<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0you may be also.\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>(John 14:2-3 TAB)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>One of those rooms He is preparing will be for you if you are a member of His family.\u00a0 Meanwhile, as we await His coming, walk with your head held high.<\/p>\n<p>Remember, you are <em>royalty<\/em>, a child of the King.\u00a0 And Jesus said He will never, ever, leave us. \u00a0 We got this!<\/p>\n<p>If you are an unbeliever, you need to take a look at some grave consequences you will face, one being the loss of eternal life with the God Who sent His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ to take the rap for your sins.\u00a0 If you conclude that the<\/p>\n<p>Babe in the manger, and the God on the cross is worthy of your trust, and if you believe He is the Son of God, then one of those rooms He is working on will have your name on it, and, hopefully, the names of your loved ones as they align their lives with yours as you follow the Master Jesus.\u00a0 What do you have to lose?<\/p>\n<p><em>Everything.<\/em>\u00a0 What do you have to gain?\u00a0 <em>Everything.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Walking this Way with you,<\/p>\n<p>Connie<\/p>\n<h3><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h3><strong>New Year\u2019s Eve Celebrations<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Pastor Coty Writes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>During New Year\u2019s Eve, while many people are celebrating in the cities, the people in the village do it differently. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>All the village people meet at the church. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Some to thank God for the past year, and to ask for his blessing for the coming year. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Others come to church because they are frightened. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>There is a belief among some people, that the devil eats many people during the end of the year. So even though they are not believers,\u00a0they come to the church. This is the only meeting they will attend on this special day.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Our children\u2019s classes on Saturday have a usual attendance of around 90 children. The attendance grows to about 120 as the day of the Children\u2019s Party approaches. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>However, at the Children\u2019s Party, we always have around 400 children, because they come from every corner, and every tribe to eat and receive a special gift. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It is our way of helping them to celebrate life, by having a very good time together, as we begin the New Year<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This year again we had a good time with the children. Writes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>After the Christmas break, we are glad to come back to school and to do our routine. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It was good and memorable to hear some students say: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 school is back <span style=\"color: #008000;\">and also the food is back,<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong> as they check the kitchen.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Like I said before, the Kids in the village are always happy to come to school.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>However, it is really for the lunch program.
