{"id":3246,"date":"2024-07-15T19:24:03","date_gmt":"2024-07-15T23:24:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/coastalhaitimission.org\/?page_id=3246"},"modified":"2024-07-16T07:07:20","modified_gmt":"2024-07-16T11:07:20","slug":"june-2024-newsletter","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/coastalhaitimission.org\/?page_id=3246","title":{"rendered":"June 2024 Newsletter"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Coastal Haiti Mission<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>June 2024\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">&#8211; THE\u00a0 REVEAL &#8211;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The first man God ever spoke to was Adam.\u00a0 Did Adam know who God was?\u00a0 I doubt it. (Otherwise I don\u2019t think he\u2019d have been so quick to join his wife in her disobedience).\u00a0 God also spoke to Noah.\u00a0 Did Noah know who God was?\u00a0 Well, he knew one thing, he knew He was a master builder and mathematician!\u00a0 God also spoke to Abraham. But did Abraham really know who he was dealing with?\u00a0 Probably not.\u00a0 It seems as though the Maker and Ruler of heaven and earth was somewhat reticent (reserved) when it came to a revelation of Himself.<\/p>\n<p>Surely it was too much for a mortal man to comprehend a Being who is OMNISCIENT (all knowing). OMNIPRESENT (is everywhere at the same time), and OMNIPOTENT (all powerful).\u00a0 Oh yes, He <em>would <\/em>reveal Himself, but in His own way and in his own time.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, violence had filled the earth, and the heirs of\u00a0 \u201cUncle Adam\u201d and \u201cAuntie Eve\u201d were no longer fit to reside upon this earth. In a flood of unimaginable proportion only one family survived \u2013Noah\u2019s.\u00a0 And man began again to multiply upon the earth, and the Great God was spurned once again by His own created beings who chose to venerate and bow down before other gods who were infiltrating God\u2019s creation.\u00a0 Other gods whose images were carved in wood and stone \u2013 gods who were demanding and corruptive, and separated men and woman from their intended purpose.<\/p>\n<p>Noah now knew God as his Rescuer. Moses knew Him as a Disciplinarian (he would not be allowed to enter the Promised Land because he, at one point, broke faith with God.\u00a0 <em>\u201cFor you shall see the land over opposite you, but you shall not <\/em><em>go there, into the land which I give the Israelites.\u201d <\/em>(Deut. 32:52 TAB)<em>.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew Him as \u201cGod Almighty\u201d.\u00a0 And God was about to increase the concept of who He was.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cI appeared to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, as GOD ALMIGHTY<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 [El Shaddai], but by My Name THE LORD [Yaweh][the redemptive <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Name of God]\u2014 I did not make Myself known to them [in acts and <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 great miracles].\u201d <\/em>(Ex. 6:3 TAB)<\/p>\n<p>But that would soon change. What was He about to do?!\u00a0 Soon there was heard the terrorizing sound and awesome rumble and crash of the waves as Yaweh parted the waters of the Red Sea, leading His people to freedom after 400 years of slavery in Egypt.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cWas it really happening?<\/em> the people must have wondered.\u00a0 Or were they all dreaming? (Must have ramped up the fear of God in many a man, woman, and child!)<\/p>\n<p>As time passed, now and then a prophet of God would appear bearing the precious Word from what seemed like a sometimes-apathetic God.<\/p>\n<p>A prophet like Isaiah:<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cHe was despised and rejected and forsaken by men, a man <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 of sorrows and sickness; and as one from whom men hide<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 their faces\u2026wounded for our transgressions\u2026bruised for<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 our iniquities;\u2026\u201d\u00a0 <\/em>(Isaiah 53:3-5 TAB)<\/p>\n<p>But of whom was the prophet speaking?\u00a0 Well, the time came, and the great reveal was on.<\/p>\n<p>It all began with a star.\u00a0 A few wise men from the east set out to follow the magnificent anomaly.\u00a0 They knew it was a harbinger, an announcement \u2013 I mean the stars were their game.\u00a0 They knew that somewhere a King had been born.<\/p>\n<p>And there, in a stable beneath the star that shone over the town of Bethleham that night, a young virgin and her husband cradled their new-born Son.\u00a0 (Yes, a miracle.)\u00a0 They would name Him Jesus.<\/p>\n<p>The great God Who commanded the sun, moon, and stars, the wind, waves, and angel armies \u2013 the God to whom the nations of the world were like a \u201cdrop from the bucket\u201d and regarded by Him as \u201cless than nothing,\u201d \u2013 the One who \u201cmeasured the waters in the hollow of His hand\u201d, \u201cweighed the mountains in scales\u201d and \u201cthe hills in a balance\u201d, \u2013 the Creator of heaven and earth had entered time and space to save the lost souls of men and woman because He wanted them with Him forever.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cHe will feed his flock like a Shephard, He will gather the lambs<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 in His arm, He will carry them in His bosom, He will gently lead<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 those that have their young.\u201d <\/em>(Isaiah 40:11 TAB)<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em>\u00a0He would stun the masses with His revolutionary teaching (whoever heard of <em>loving <\/em>your enemy?!).\u00a0 He would heal the sick and restore the mind of the demon-possessed.\u00a0 He would cleanse the leper and allow him to return to his home to once again participate in family affairs.\u00a0 He would cause the lame to walk, the deaf to hear, and the blind to see.\u00a0 He would slip the moors of confinement imposed by \u201creligion\u201d as he set up His church in the hearts of His people.<\/p>\n<p>He said that\u00a0 <em>\u201c\u2026he that hath seen Me hath seen the Father\u2026<\/em>\u00a0 (John 14:9 KJV)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">GOD REVEALED.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And He would die.\u00a0 Oh, He didn\u2019t <em>have <\/em>to die..\u00a0 He could have called 80,000 angels.\u00a0 He <em>CHOSE <\/em>to die \u2013 for <em>you<\/em> and for <em>me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>My dear reader, when Jesus the Christ, the perfect and sacrificial Lamb of God was nailed to \u2013 and hung on the cross He suffered excruciating and incomprehensible pain, not only physically, but also mentally.\u00a0 He Who was sinless had now become our Sin Bearer.\u00a0 It was absolute horror as all the ugliness, toxic, putrid, gangrenes, and foul stench of sin that ever was, is now, and ever would be was placed upon His back.<\/p>\n<p>And when His eyes closed in death, FORGIVENESS\u00a0 was let loose for all who would call upon His Name!\u00a0 The debt was paid.\u00a0 Paid In Full, and God\u2019s righteous justice was satisfied.<\/p>\n<p>Jesus told us He was coming back to earth to fetch His church and bring His people home.\u00a0 Will <em>you <\/em>be there when He comes?\u00a0 Are you <em>in?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cLook to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth!\u00a0 For I am<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 God, and there is no other.\u201d (Isaiah 45:22 TAB)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Walking this Way with you,<\/p>\n<p>Connie<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>The Saturday Sunday School <\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Pastor Coty Writes:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Someone who plants a garden, can&#8217;t go out the next day to begin the harvest. So, you need some <span style=\"color: #ff0000;\"><u>Faith<\/u><\/span> to plant a garden, because the harvest is always in the future. Some plants take months to mature, while other plants take years to be ready for harvest. But when the time for harvesting comes, you do it with joy. Sometimes you have so much joy, that you even forget all the hard work and effort you put into growing this garden.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It is almost the same situation when investing in children. This is God answering prayers, because the most common\u00a0 prayer request is for God to help with their poverty.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>There is absolutely no way we could even think of doing such a thing, without having other people, who allow God to guide them to us. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>With huge thanks to you, our supporters, who invest in us, even as you invest\u00a0 in your from The Solidarity Gardeners.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This month has been a month of transitions for the Solidarity Gardeners.\u00a0 The gardens have been harvested, though they are still producing eggplant.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>There is a short pause taking place right now as we have a problem.\u00a0 The animals continue to destroy crops and wreak havoc in the community garden.\u00a0 The guys, Pastor Cote, Jeff and Yamoutch have gone out several times looking for fencing but have not found anything appropriate.\u00a0 The last straw was when the goats got into the garden and ate all of the newly planted Cashew trees.\u00a0 They completely destroyed them.<\/strong><strong>\u00a0 <\/strong><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>However, after researching, I have recently found several companies that I can order from, who will ship to Haiti. We have placed our first order, 3 rolls of 4&#8242; x 164&#8242; fencing.\u00a0 This should properly protect the garden and provide for at least some of the school yard as well.
