– THUNDER IN THE DISTANCE –
\nAnyone who can think knows there is something dreadfully wrong in our world.
\nLately, I have heard one person after another asking the question: \u201cWhat is going
\non in our world? What is happening?
\nAt the risk of being called an alarmist, please allow me to share a few things with
\nyou. We already know, according to Scripture, that there are malevolent spirits
\nlocated on high that are interacting and influencing our world community-at-large.
\nThe Apostle Paul describes these spirit beings in a letter written to the newly-
\n-formed church at Ephesus.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cFor we are not wrestling with flesh and blood \u2013 contending<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0only with physical opponents \u2013 but against the despotisms,<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0wicked rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.\u201d<\/em> (Eph.6:12 TAB)<\/p>\n

The Apostle John was in concurrence with Paul when writing to the beloved
\nlady Cyria and her children:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cWe know [positively] that we are of God, and the whole world<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0is under the power of the evil one.\u201d<\/em> (II John 5:19 TAB)<\/p>\n

This is \u201ctruth\u201d we are dealing with here. I know the idea of our world being
\ninfested with detrimental spirits is both foreign and troublesome to our western
\nintelligence and mind set. We are comfortable with our comedic, mischievous and
\nbuffoon-like devil dressed in a red suit with a long tail.<\/p>\n

But we must see reality as it is set forth in Scripture. There is a war going on
\nbetween good and evil. The devil is a real entity, and his agents are hard at work
\nin this world. The anti-Christ spirit is on the rise. Truth is being denied, biological<\/p>\n

science is ignored, false realities are being manufactured and espoused, and
\ncommon sense is being set aside. When artificial intelligence (AI) is fully
\ndeveloped and operational, we may not be able to distinguish between what is real
\nand what is an illusion (artificial).<\/p>\n

For so many reasons it is of dire importance that we, as Christians, have our
\nreality rooted in the Word of God.<\/p>\n

The last days were here on the Day of Pentecost when the Spirit of God fell on
\nthose in the Upper Room bringing to life the Church of Jesus Christ. Peter, in
\nexplaining what was happening that day, quoted the Prophet Joel:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cAnd in the last days it shall be, God declares, that<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh\u2026\u201d<\/em> (Acts 2:17 ESV)<\/p>\n

That was over 2,000 years ago, and that time was referred to by Peter as \u201cthe last
\ndays\u201d. I personally believe that we are now in the last-of-the-last days.<\/p>\n

Listen a moment to Paul:<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u201cBut understand this, in the last days there will set in perilous<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0times of great stress and trouble \u2013 hard to deal with and hard<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0to bear. For people will be lovers of self and [utterly] self-<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 -centered, lovers of money and aroused by an inordinate<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 (greedy) desire for wealth, proud and arrogant and contempt-<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0-uous boasters. They will be abusive (blasphemous, scoffers),<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy and profane. [They<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 will be] without natural (human) affection (callous and in-<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0-human), relentless \u2013 admitting of no truce or appeasement.<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 [They will be] slanderers \u2013 false accusers, trouble makers;<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 intemperate and loose morals and conduct, uncontrolled and<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0fierce, haters of good. [They will be] treacherous (betrayers),<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0rash [and] inflated with self-conceit. [They will be] lovers of<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 sensual pleasures and vain amusements more than and rather<\/em>
\n\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 than lovers of God.\u201d<\/em> (II Tim. 3:1-4 TAB)<\/p>\n

Sound familiar? In our day many are afraid to leave their homes for fear of being
\nshot for absolutely no legitimate reason. There has been a marked increase of
\nautomobile owners having their vehicles bullet-proofed. Airline pilots are having
\nto go off schedule and initiate emergency landings because of passenger-caused<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

chaos aboard their aircraft.\u00a0 Malicious gangs are entering stores and stealing<\/p>\n

thousands of dollars worth of merchandise while terrorizing paying customers.<\/p>\n

Major and minor retail stores are closing their doors and leaving large cities<\/p>\n

across the United States.\u00a0 Children are afraid to attend school because of school<\/p>\n

shootings, and suicide among young people is taking its toll.\u00a0 Divorce is rampant<\/p>\n

and the family structure is collapsing.\u00a0 Rising seas (global warming), rising costs,<\/p>\n

dangerous drug cartels, and a world-shaking pandemic all add to episodes of severe stress.<\/p>\n

But life continues on, eating and drinking and marrying \u2013 well, you know,<\/p>\n

like in the days of Noah — business as usual.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I realize that what I have written may be upsetting and frightening to some.<\/p>\n

But if you are a Christ follower you need not fear.\u00a0 You belong to God, and<\/p>\n

\u201cgreater is He that is in you than he that is in the world\u201d (I John 4:4 ASV).<\/p>\n

You are in the ark, so-to-speak, and you are a light in the darkness.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And dear friend, if you have not ever asked Jesus Christ to forgive you for your<\/p>\n

sins (for all <\/em>have sinned \u2013 missed the mark), and invited Him to come into your<\/p>\n

heart, there is still time for you to make that life- and eternity-changing decision.<\/p>\n

There is still room in the ark!\u00a0 (But I hear thunder in the distance, so I\u2019d make it a<\/p>\n

priority).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

My intent in writing this message is to strengthen you, my brothers and sisters in<\/p>\n

Christ, for the days ahead.\u00a0 To encourage you to listen to your own sense of dis-<\/p>\n

-cernment regarding this day in which we live.\u00a0 To understand that it is man\u2019s<\/p>\n

doing (without God) that has brought our world to this place.\u00a0 To know that God,<\/p>\n

by enduing us with free will, has allowed us to see the tragic outcome of our<\/p>\n

casting aside His rule and Kingship over our lives.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We also know that our Lord wants every man, woman, and child to repent and be<\/p>\n

saved.\u00a0 Jesus paid the price for that to happen as individuals surrender their lives<\/p>\n

to Him.\u00a0 (II Pet.3:9)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the end, all will be well.\u00a0 The Word says so.\u00a0 Meanwhile, be a lighthouse in the<\/p>\n

storm.\u00a0 Hold your family and friends close, love your neighbor, and love our God<\/p>\n

with all of your heart.<\/p>\n

The School Lunch Program<\/h4>\n

\nOur kids eat with joy, what we receive with joy from you, God’s people.<\/h4>\n

The rice and beans are more popular than any book at the school and the
\nlunch time is more desired than any class at our school.<\/h4>\n

We thank God, and also thank you, His people, who make every school day a<\/strong>
\nlunch day for everyone at the school.<\/strong>

She brings her 3 children to school every morning and comes back to get them<\/strong>
\nafter class. That’s her job. She knows that every school day is a lunch day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If she leaves them home for the day, they may not eat anything for that day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The little ones are twins, and they are not old enough to attend school, but she<\/strong>
\nasked us please to accept them because she could not provide for them.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said, grown people can resist hunger, but kids are different. They need to<\/strong>
\nget something to eat.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Survival of a mother\u2019s children, as conditions continue to decline.<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Home Lighting Project<\/h4>\n

Pastor Coty Writes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

We have begun to distribute the recent shipment of Cyclops lights and Power<\/strong>
\nBanks that you provided during Christmas season.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The first class of training was very fruitful. We had some women attend who<\/strong>
\nhad a desperate need for a light in their home.<\/strong><\/p>\n

They were very receptive on how to keep the light safe and use it wisely.<\/strong>
\nEveryone was happy, and receiving a light after the class, increased their<\/strong>
\nhappiness.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now, they are no longer a slave to darkness, but instead, they live in real light<\/strong>
\nat night.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thanks to our Lord, and to You His people.<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is the house of one of the families who received a Cyclops light.
\nIn this house, even with the lowest light intensity that the light will provide, you
\ncan see really well. The room is bright enough to even study in. The next two
\nincreased levels of light intensity in this light, really light up the room. The trade
\noff, the brighter the illumination, the shorter the duration of the light, before
\nrecharging is required.
\nThe beneficiary could not find words to explain to me how important this light is
\nto them.<\/p>\n

The Saturday Sunday School<\/strong><\/h4>\n

The best thing in this class is not the subject that my wife Nana is teaching,<\/strong><\/p>\n

but it\u2019s mostly the joy in the faces of the kids. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Joy to come, joy to participate, and joy to receive, whatever they can get for the day.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even if it’s not movie time, we gave out some popcorn, and candy.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Thank God for his blessings on these kids because they are the future of this country. <\/strong><\/p>\n
